Meet your Denver Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Executive Council
Dear DBA Young Lawyers,
For the next few months we are going to spotlight a member of the DBA-YLD Executive Council every other week. We have a wonderful dedicated group this year, as each year, and we would like to introduce ourselves to you all. Please feel free to contact us with comments or concerns and please do come up and introduce yourselves at any of our events, we are always happy to chat.
Where did you go to law school and where are you currently working?
I went to Florida Coastal School of Law. I am a solo practitioner focusing on contract law and small business development.
Why did you become a lawyer?
My father is an attorney. Growing up I would follow him around the courthouse and to meetings. I saw how he helped people get through some of their hardest times and how appreciative his clients were of his help. I became a lawyer so that I can help people when they need it the most.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been give?
It’s a quote attributed to Mark Twain: “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
Where are your favorite places to travel?
I’ve really enjoyed my travels to Spain and Italy. I would love to explore the Caribbean more!

What’s the best restaurant in Denver?
My favorite place to grab a bite is Mercantile Dining & Provisions located in Union Station. Try the Hot Pastrami.
What is your favorite thing to cook?
I enjoy cooking all types of food, but my favorite is probably biscuits and gravy.
What sport do you love to play or watch or both?
I really enjoy playing basketball. Nothing is better than watching both men’s and women’s World Cup Soccer.
Favorite childhood memory:
Going rock climbing with my dad for the first time.
I take my dog, Gracie, on a walk.
Biggest pet peeve?
Messy cars.
What’s your favorite board game?
I really enjoy playing Cribbage!
What’s on your desk right now?
My dog, Gracie. She’s such a big helper.
If you weren’t a lawyer, you’d be:
A high school history teacher and basketball coach.
