Want to do something fun but don’t feel like you have the time? Why not get in a little networking, CLE credit, and fun in one? Get out of the office on a Saturday and enjoy the slopes with like-minded young attorneys!
Many young attorneys moved to Colorado for the combination of opportunity and nature that is present in this great state. What comes with each is a busy work schedule and a disappearing winter packed with weekend getaways with friends when possible. Networking is generally the last thing an attorney wants to do on their personal time. However, if you can spare a Saturday and $20, you will leave with meaningful community connections, friendships and fun memories. For less than the cost of parking at Vail you can jump on a bus with breakfast, listen to an interesting CLE, and meet young attorneys with a myriad of backgrounds and experience.
Whether you are new to Colorado or native, love skiing or just want to try something new, the ski and CLE will be a day you remember. Meet at the Dino Lots off I-70 near Golden at 7 A.M. Look for the big Ramblin’ Express bus, load up your gear, grab breakfast and settle in for a day of fun with new friends. Listen to Trent Ongert give an interesting CLE on Colorado ski law with plenty of time on the bus and chair lifts to network with other young attorneys. Last year everyone that went enjoyed skiing together throughout the day, met for a beer afterward and was home in time for dinner with family. While lift tickets at Vail are not included, several skiers will have their Epic “ski-with-a-friend” discounts they are willing to share. Also, new snow is in the forecast for next week!
So if you have a Saturday to spare on March 19th come out to build your network and have some fun. RSVP online, by emailing lunches@cobar.org or calling 303–860–1115, ext. 727 to save your spot.
