Hello! It is hard to believe it is already September! Before fall gets away from you, please put a DBA YLD event on your calendar. Consider joining us at September’s BAH and Arts and Literature Reception on September 17th—the event boast complimentary drinks and snacks and provides an opportunity to mingle with artists whose work is featured in the September Docket. Or, if you’re in search of CLE credits, join us on October 21 at 8 am for a practical and engaging talk by the newest Colorado Supreme Court Justice, Rich Gabriel. Justice Gabriel will be offering great insights on how to succeed in practice and how to juggle the challenges of being a young attorney. We’d love to see you at any of the events below and, remember to check out our calendar as we will continue to add events through the fall.
I have found that DBA YLD events are a great way to meet people outside of my practice area that can be powerful connections. At each event I attend, I make a point to try and meet at least one new person and get their business card. I have met attorneys and professionals that have been great resources and even referral sources. My tip: whenever I get a business card from someone new, I’m always sure to send a quick email note the next day so that we have a way to stay in touch.
