Chris Jackson will give a talk on recent developments in Colorado’s election law. He’ll cover partisan gerrymandering, dark money, campaign-finance reform, ballot selfies, and a few upcoming cases that should have a big impact in 2018. Chris is an associate at Sherman & Howard, where he practices political law, appeals, and commercial litigation.

Free Ethics CLE on Pro Bono Representation – Sept. 29
Metro Volunteer Lawyers is hosting a free presentation on ethics in pro bono representation on Friday, Sept. 29, from 7:30 to 9:30 am at the DBA offices. The guest speaker, April McMurrey from the Office of Attorney Regulation, will address the Rules of Professional Conduct and ethical considerations as they relate to pro bono representation.

Please join the CBA YLD for a breakfast CLE presented by panelists, Nicole Lonsway, Patrick Hickey, Jeanne Baak, and Jamie Hubbard on Oct. 23, 2017 at the CBA CLE Large Classroom: 9am-10am.
This diverse group of panelists will lead a discussion on the “Do’s and Don’ts” of maintaining professionalism in the face of certain challenges we all experience as young lawyers. Nicole is a senior associate at Greenberg Traurig LLP, where she practices mergers and acquisitions law. Patrick is a commercial litigation attorney at Moye White LLP. Jeanne Baak is an Assistant Attorney General with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. And Jamie Hubbard is a litigation associate at Haddon Morgan & Foreman, P.C., who previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable William J. Martinez of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. FREE for members and $20 for nonmembers, and includes a continental breakfast.
